Hamish is the Managing Director of Mastercom and a founding Director of the Orion Network. A specialist in wide-area radio networks, Hamish has a genuine understanding of the pressures faced out in the field and the role that efficient communications plays to help people every day.
Hamish is passionate about transforming businesses through the application of digital mobile radio technology. With a career in communications spanning more than 30 years, Hamish is skilled in making the complex simple – engineering communication solutions to support the needs of all users – from the control room to the field.
A member of the Australian Radio Communications Industry Association (ARCIA), Hamish is highly regarded for his technical competency and in 2009 was awarded an ARCIA technical excellence award.
Hamish enjoys time with his family and tinkering with old cars. He attributes his success to being able to put himself in other people’s shoes, and consider business from their perspective before trying to find a solution.

Leading Mastercom’s sales and business development strategy, Robert is a solutions specialist skilled in understanding the internal workings of his clients’ business and finding the best fit communications technology for their unique operating environment. Working as an extension of his clients’ business, Robert is focused on supporting business critical and operational decisions to improve business processes.
With more than 25 years experience in the two way radio industry, Robert’s extensive product and technical knowledge enables him to quickly identify clearer, faster ways of communicating within almost any business - ultimately helping to save time and money through creation of efficiencies.
Passionate about any industry that involves wings, wheels or water – Robert is frequently contracted by local, state and federal government agencies, major logistics companies and infrastructure hubs to support the design and implementation of high end, mission critical communication systems.
Leveraging more than 12 years hands on experience as product manager for GME a major radio manufacturer, Robert plays an key role between the client and Mastercom’s technical engineers in conveying the critical elements required to support the client’s communication strategy.

Spiro heads Mastercom’s technical workshop and is responsible for the delivery of major projects, fleet installations and problem solving communication issues. Focused on nailing the customer experience, Spiro seeks to ensure every Mastercom client feels satisfied they’ve purchased a premier system that is delivered as promised, with zero hassle and exceptional customer service. Leading a team of eight, Spiro maintains oversight of Mastercom’s complete solution schedule and provides strategic direction to the system engineers, sales team, and radio technicians. A hands on supervisor, Spiro drives a tight ship, and believes the best results are achieved by empowering his team to deliver and take responsibility for the solution.
Spiro commenced his career with Mastercom in 1984, and was trained by the radio master himself – Hamish Duff. Leveraging his technical expertise, Spiro spent 12 years managing the Premier Cabs radio and installation workshop before returning to Mastercom last year.
Spiro is a qualified radio technician and holds a trade certificate and associate diploma in electronic communications.

A long standing member of the Mastercom team, Dale is responsible for the management of the Company’s financial position and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Maintaining visibility over the performance of every part of the business, Dale is a “hands on” leader and is focused on building a capable, proactive team as, well as ensuring Mastercom remains financially sound through establishment of effective controls and systems.
Known for her approachable nature, Dale plays a critical role in developing supplier and partner relationships. She brings more than 18 years experience to her role in managing in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow for major projects, credit management, accounts receivable and payroll. Leveraging her exceptional time management and organisational skills, Dale keeps the business on track and is a trusted member of Mastercom’s senior management team.
With Mastercom’s recent acquisition of Queensland Communications, Dale’s expertise and longevity with the business will be critical in establishing the financial processes and policies compliant with Queensland legislation.
Supporting industry-specific and operational business processes, Dale recently oversaw the implementation of an enterprise resource planning software to enable Mastercom to integrate business applications and enhance the technical capabilities such as inventory control, distribution, finance and HR.
